Success Stories
Accelerated Basic Education Program (ABEP)
Under the ROOSC Project it is designed to provide 9 months condensed foundational learning for out-of-school children, enabling them to quickly acquire basic literacy and numeracy skills and transition into formal schools. It primarily targets children aged 10–17 years who have missed several years of schooling.
Catch-Up Clubs (CuC)
Catch-Up Clubs (CuC) offer 3 months, intensive learning sessions that help out-of-school children gain the basic competencies needed to reintegrate into the formal education system. This intervention is mainly focused on younger children aged 6–9 years, helping them bridge learning gaps early.
Formal Schools Environment
Renovating existing schools and constructing new ones creates safe, accessible, and conducive learning environments that attract more children to enroll and remain in school. By reducing overcrowding and bringing education closer to underserved communities, these efforts play a vital role in lowering the high rate of out-of-school children in Kaduna State.
