Reaching Out-of-School Children’s Project Startup Workshop

A Successful Kickoff for the Reaching Out-of-School Children’s Project

We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Reaching Out-of-School Children’s Project during an impactful four-day workshop held from November 25th to 28th, 2024, in Kaduna State. The event, which was officially opened by His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna, brought together a diverse and passionate group of stakeholders from across the globe. Key partners included  representatives from the Islamic Development Bank, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Global Partnership for Education, Education Above All, as well as local organizations like UNICEF and Save the Children International.

This workshop marked a significant milestone in our collective efforts to address one of the most pressing issues in education today; the large number of children who are out of school including Children with Disability. With a focus on improving access to quality education for every child, especially those who are currently not enrolled, the event set the foundation for the transformative work ahead in Kaduna State.

Participants collaborated with a shared purpose to discuss actionable strategies for boosting school enrolment and retention rates in the state. The workshop underscored the importance of working together to tackle the barriers facing out-of-school children, emphasizing that only through collective action can lasting change be achieved.
